We are not a factory outlet. When you walk in our front door you are not only in the show room, you are in the factory. How long does a mattress last? Sleep surveys show that quality, not quantity, is most important to a great night’s sleep. If you are not waking up rested it may be the fault of your mattress. The average life of a mattress is 12 to 15 years. What size mattress should I purchase? It all depends on your size and comfort needs. For a younger child a twin (38" x 75") or full (53" x 75") are the most popular. For adult couples the mattress that gives you the most freedom of movement is the best choice. Most couples select a queen (60" x 80") or a king (76" x 80") size mattress. Additionally, we can custom make any size mattress and boxspring. Years ago there were a lot of waterbed stores in the area. What happened to all of them? After being on the market for about 20 years people found that they did not get adequate back support. We offer waterbed conversion mattresses with a softer feel while still using your conventional waterbed frame. What is comfort foam? Comfort foam is a viscoelastic open-celled temperature and weight sensitive material originally developed for NASA in the 1970’s. Comfort foam reacts to the body’s temperature and adjusts to your exact shape. We use this foam in two ways, as a solid mattress or as a pillow topper over a traditional innerspring mattress. This gives firm support with a softer feel. Why are so many manufacturers going to a no-flip style mattress? Height and weight. 10 years ago the average mattress was 8 to 10 inches thick. Now with the popularity of pillow topping, the mattresses range between 10 to 14 inches thick. By making a no flip mattress you only have to pad one side of the mattress decreasing the height. How often should I rotate my mattress? By rotating your mattress every 2 months you will get fewer body impressions. We are heavier between our shoulders and seat putting more wear in that area of the bed. By flipping and rotating your mattress you get fewer body impressions, which would result in a more comfortable mattress over a longer period of time. Why don’t you run sales? We price our products at a factory-to-you price so there is no need to run a sale. You cannot purchase a better quality mattress or box spring anywhere. We do however, run special promotions with free financing or with our mismatched and discontinued cover sets, which allows us to use up our surplus cover material and pass the savings on to you.
